Top 6! -- A day late...

I was at Kevin's last night, watching American Idol on his new tv. And I wanted to put a picture of it up, that's why it took me forever to make this post. Haha.

Katharine - Even though the judges sort of bashed her performance, I thought she didn't do
too
bad. Though she wasn't wearing the most flattering dress...

Elliott - He did a fantabulous job!

Kelly - "I don't have anyone to play pottery with!" Hahaha, she cracks me up. I thought it was borning, I love this song, and I couldn't get into her singing it.

Paris - I didn't really enjoy it. It just makes me shrug. *shrugs*

Taylor - I love what he's wearing. :-P It was okay, not the best though.

Chris - I though he did a good job, however, I didn't like how he "yelled" part of the song, because it's such a sweet, tender song! But I get that's how he sings, so, it was good!

Sorry to bring this up again...

BUT! My curiosity paid off. I was really excited to see today's weather map had a dry line in it! :-) So I had to mention it when I did the weather on VTTV - Tech Tonight. I also mentioned the snow up in South Dakota and Nebraska, haha. Anyway, so after the show, Jummy (that's her name, yes?) said that the weather was "hot." She even mentioned me knowing what a dry line was. It made me very happy. That silly little brown line brings much happiness to a little future meteorologist. Haha. Tonight was our group's last show for the semester. Next Monday is the last show of the semester. And I won't get to see it. :-( Or sex talk. I need adelphia!

Anyway, that was my little note for the day.

Sunday Seven

I'm bored, I'm gonna just say the first seven songs on my ipod.
  1. The first is one I listened to on my way to Food Lion this morning: "Candy" - Mandy Moore. I think the Mandy Moore CD might have been my first CD ever, either that or Britney Spears. Haha. What? I was like...10 or 11 or something. Gosh, that was such a long time ago...I'm so old.
  2. Next we have "Tell Me Something Good" - Chaka Khan. It's the live version...I don't really like live versions, but...it's all I have. *shrugs*
  3. "I Want it That Way" - Backstreet Boys. And another song from my distant past. Haha. When I was little I had a crush on the Nick on, the one with blonde hair.
  4. "Papa Don't Preach" - Madonna.
  5. "Right Here Waiting For You" - Richard Marx. My parents tell me I sang this song before I could even talk. Haha. I love this song, and the piano is awesome in it. I wish I could play it.
  6. "Hanging by a Moment" - Lifehouse.
  7. "Love is Strange" - Mickey and Sylvia. Yay! Dirty Dancing is one of the best movies EVER. I love it! :-D
Mickey: "Oh Sylvia!"
Sylvia: "Yes Mickey?"
Mickey: "How do you call your lover boy?"
Sylvia: "Come here lover boy!"
Mickey: "And if he doesn't answer?"
Sylvia: "Oh, lover boy?!"
Mickey: "And if he
still doesn't answer?"
Sylvia: "I simply say: Baby, oh baby, my sweet baby, you're the one!"

:-)

YAY!

I know what that brown line is!!! Sorry, it was really exciting when I saw it again. Haha. Oh...and for you high schoolers going up to chicago tomorrow...looks like it'll be rainy. Enjoy. Though, I know you won't get there until thursday morning, but...it'll probably still be rainy. Haha. Have fun...GO ON THE BIG FERRIS WHEEL! That was fun when we went way back in the day, my boyfriend at the time, he totally freaked out, it had his head between his legs the entire time and was totally freaking out...*shakes head* It's really awesome, and the view...wow. Have a great time kiddies.

Top 7

Sorry this wasn't posted at the right time, but hey...who faithfully read that stuff anyway? Haha. I was with Kevin. 7 months today! :-)

But anyway...the theme was Rod Stewart...I think. Who is just awesome.

Everyone did really good. Except Ace, of course...he sucked.

Yay Chris though! He did really good, got out of his 'image' so that was different. But a good different.

That's all for now.

Rain, rain, go away.

Kevin and I are sitting here in the library (he's far away from me, since there wasn't two computers together :-( ) in Dublin. We're suppose to go to Graffiti's, but a big down pour of that wet stuff has momentarily stopped that from happening. And I'm really hungry. I suppose I could go down stairs and get something, but I'd rather have something from Graffiti's! Ugh. Stupid storm... that to the right is what we are sitting through right now (I tried using the picture editor to circle where we are...at least where I think we are...I'm not exactly sure where Pulaski County is...but it doesn't come up very well...sorry bout that). Ugh. What fun, right? Haha. Lots of lightening and thunder, I just heard someone walk by and say there is a tornado warning? That means conditions are VERY favorable for tornados...is that true? I hope it's just a watch. That's not so bad. Then there is a 'might be favorable' instead. Haha.

We'll see. :-/

A Weather Lesson.

As most of you might know, I want to be a meteorologist. Well, today I was wondering what the weather was like, so I go to weather.com and I look at the United States. I noticed something odd...that brown line going through Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. It bugged me I didn't know what it was, so I looked it up. It's called a dry line. I thought that was interesting, because I had never heard of one before. I probably would have if I lived in the central US. But, alas! I live on the east. Haha. I am very happy where I live...we don't get full-force hurricanes, the mountains mostly break-up all the strong storms, and VERY rarely do we get a tornado. It doesn't get REALLY cold or hot. And doesn't snow too much. So...yay! Kevin wants to live in New York City for a while though. I'm not totally sure about that. *shrugs* I'd really love to live in Charleston, SC. That'd be wonderful. :-)

(I was looking around and I found another site about dry line's that was interesting.)

There is even a book kinda about it.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Yes, Happy Easter. My mom got me a little bunny, fudge making stuff, and lots of candy! Yay! Haha.

Last night was fun. Kevin and I saw a piano recitel thingy. He was really good. Kevin was so adorable, he was playing along on his knee. Hehe. Then we went over to Bobby's for a party. That boy has a party like ever other weekend! Haha. We stayed there until about 12:30ish. It was actually kinda fun. And funny. Hehe. Plus we figured out something is weird about me, but oh well. Haha.

Today I'm not sure what I'm doing. I most likely won't see Kevin today, which makes me really sad.

My mom told me we were going to have pork for dinner tonight, and for some reason it popped in my head that jewish people don't eat pork...so I was all, good thing we're not jewish. Haha, then I realized jewish people don't celebrate easter either. Oops.

OH! And yesterday was the Spring Game! Guess what?! We won!!! That Cory Holt guy looks pretty good as a QB. Hopefully our quarterback situation we'll be good. I haven't been following it recently. But all of that Marcus Vick stuff was just crazy. He had it ALL and he had to go ruin it. I don't get it. *shakes head*
(I forgot to give fun details...) Kevin and I drove down there, and walked to the stadium. We got some drinks and tried to find a seat. On our way to a seat, I saw Cliff, and then there was amanada! So we sat with them. The whole clan was there. Haha. Amanda, Noni, Cliff, Ashley, Kyra, Mackensie and her parents. Haha. It was interesting. I felt bad though, because Amanda wanted some food and I left Kevin alone with them to fend for himself. Aww :-( Anyway, the Maroon team won 14-10 against the white team. There was no score in the second half. GOSH! We had pretty good seats, about the middle of the West End exactly. Now I know what football looks like, haha. I'm use to the close to the ground, from one end-zone view. Haha. Kevin and I left so he could get back to his grandmother's food family thingy. I sat at home cooling off from the HEAT! haha.

I think that's all I have to see. Enjoy your Easter, or whatever you're doing today!

aw, Damnit Ace! URGHED!

Bored in the Library

I'm in dublin right now. We had to come down early because Kevin has a speech to make, and they have to video tape them now. So a bunch of people from his 'class' are getting together to make the video, because you have to have atleast four people over 18 as your 'audience' for the video. Haha. The reason I say 'class' is because he's taking it online, and it's not a real class. You know? Haha, anyway...

Yesterday I got to
honk at someone. It was thrilling really (haha, thrilling? *shrugs*). I don't really honk, unless I see someone I know. But this guy...ugh. First off, he was on his cell phone. Secondly, there is a hill that goes up from one street and connects perpendicular to another street. There is no stop, the other street are the ones that have the stop. It's a bit odd. But, people who are not familiar with the area stop there anyway. This car, with a sticker from University of Alabama, stopped. And not only did they stop, but they just sat there, with no one around. So, I being very annoyed, honked my horn. :-D it was great. Haha.

I worked a good bit yesterday too. It's easy to stay at work and not get
bored and leave when I have stuff to do. I can't stand being at work when there is nothing to do! It drives me crazy. Then Kevin get's all, that's irresponsible. And then I get sad that he thinks I am. So...it's better for everyone for me to have stuff to do at work. Plus I get money! :-D

Oh,
congratulations need to go out to Rose! She made the madrigals! Yay! I'm very proud of her, and I can't wait to see her in whatever dress she picks! Yay!

I'm
running out of things to talk about...ummmmm...maybe I'll just make a bunch of links like I did last time I waited on Kevin for a while. Haha.

Top 8

QUEEN!!!!

Bucky - "Fat Bottomed Girls" - I thought he did really well. I really enjoyed it. It was a bit country rock, but hey...i love sweet home alamaba! haha.

Ace - "We Will Rock You" - ohhh yeah...it's such a hard song...it wasn't horrible though. Maybe because it was just all yelling. ahaha: simon "it was 'we will rock you gently.'"

Kellie - "Bohemian Rhapsody" - she's got the look and the lights, haha. I thought she did really well. She was a performer tonight. She rocked it!

Chris - "Innuendo" - I was familiar with the song. It was good though.

Katharine - "Who Wants to Live Forever" - In the beginning, she sounded old. Haha. Some rough spots, but it was pretty good.

Elliott - "Somebody to Love" - I thought it was really good! I really enjoyed it!

Taylor - "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love" - Awesome song for him! He really had fun out there, it was a very enjoyable performance!

Paris - "The Show Must Go On" - Interesting wardrobe and hair choices, haha. That sounded really good.

Over all I think this week was really good.

Yay :-)

Kellie is my top pick for tonight. Kellie, "I don't have an accent!" hahahaha...

My weekend!

Friday: Let's see...no class! :-) So I went into work about 11. My boss had asked me to alphabetize some stuff, so I got that out of the way. It turned out to be most of one thing that was already alphabetized, yay! Haha. Then I worked more on my new task of making lables and folders and stuff. Kevin scared/suprised me! :-D I was afraid he wouldn't since he stopped by on Tuesday and I wasn't there. But he did :-D He never lets me down. Hehe. Then Sara came in, who's job it was to do the lables and stuff in the first place. She found them all finished. Haha. Yes, I am magnificant! Hehe. So I taught her how to enter people into our system. *Taylor is all knowing!* I have worked there for 2.5 years almost. I finished a lot of stuff. Yay. *feels very accomplished* Oh, but I had been listening to Sowerby & Luff, and it was a little too loud, so one of the marketing/accounting people came in to my office and was all, can you turn that down a tad? I felt really bad, haha. That night was a really big storm. We lost our power from like...7-somethingish PM to 3:30ish AM. The ice cream melted!!! Haha. But I went over to Kevin's that night. We watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding. We also had a tickle match. I was injured. But I have no proof of it, because there was no bruise like there should have been. Haha.

Saturday: Woke up to the power back on! I went over to Kevin's later in the day and we watched Memoirs of a Gheisha and Finding Nemo. There was more tickling. Haha. I think we got some food too, me from BK and Kevin from Taco Bell.

Sunday: Kevin and I went to the international fair, and then hung out at his house for a bit. Then I went out with Amanda! She got her hair cut, very cute. We stopped by Pizza Hut, and then went over to Target, where we just walked around the entire store. Haha. It was quite fun. And now I'm home. Watching Spiderman on TBS and listening to music, as you can see below. Oh, and I have a new edition...pictures!

The Big Squeeze

Upon purchase of my new ipod nano i went searching for interesting podcasts...I stumble upon a podcast network called "Comedy 365"...I was intrigued. So I took a gander at it and downloaded some of their stuff. I found I really liked Sowerby and Luff's Big Squeeze Show. First off, their british, and their accents are just awesome. And then they're really funny. I'll get some quotes off them when I have time and give you all a little gander! If you have an ipod, you should really think about downloading at least one of their podcasts and check them out. Or just buy them a beer! Hehe. I've downloaded all of their recent casts, and i can not wait for more Brian and Georgina!!! :-D

RESULTS!!! sorry they're late...

Bottom three: Paris, Elliott, Mandisa

Kicked off: Mandisa?!? Wow, she is really good, not wonderful the night before, but still...she's been really good. One of Simon's favorites!

Go Chris! I'm going to root for him to win. It'd be great if the top two would be Katharine and Chris, then Kevin and I can have a bet or something good between us on that. ;-) Hehe.

MY IPOD IS HERE!!!

yes, two days early! I'll take pictures :-P hehe

stay tuned!!!

April Thunderstorms Bring Morning Rainbows

At about 7:30ish this morning, my mom wakes me up and makes me go outside. I go outside and there is this beautiful half double rainbow...later it totally filled out. I don't think i've ever seen a full double rainbow, and it came out really well! It was amazing. I took a few pictures with my little crappy camera. Haha.

This is in from the side of my house.

Another one from that view.

These are from upstairs in the guest bedroom taken through the window.

In this one you can see it getting stronger on
that side.

Go Outside and Look Up...right now!

It's so beautiful outside. There are so many stars out. I'm so glad I don't live in a big city. Though, it'd be awesome to go to the middle of nowhere and see the stars then. Away from the lights of downtown, there would be tons of stars then. Hehe. I missed the warm weather, Kevin and I would go to our rock and lay back and look up at the stars. :-) I wished on shooting stars. It was great. I'm so glad it's getting warm again!

Tonight was wonderful :-) I really wanted it to never end.

P.S. I saw Jessie last night!!! :-D Yay. And Isreal and Jason. He has the prettiest blue eyes. Wow. Hehe.

Blast from the Past

I was cleaning out the drawer in my desk, and I found a letter I wrote to myself at the end of my sophomore year in high school. My english teacher had us write letters to ourselves and she told us she would send us to them when we graduated. And she actually did. I had forgotten about it. It really made me laugh.

"May 29, 2003

Dear Future Taylor,
Hey gurl, what up! Mrs. Harris is having us write this, in case you forgot. This is our last day of sophomore year. Right now your boyfriend is Sean...remember him? Lol. The freshman with the green scarf.

Happenings this year:
  • Broke up with Brandon :-)
  • Was double trouble with Amanda Houser :-P
  • We out and broke up with Josh and Dan
  • Went out with Sean
  • Amanda is moving
  • No exams
  • Still have braces
  • Was annoyed in bio by Andy, Tony, Josh, and Larry
  • Met Jillian :-)
  • Met Megan Murphy :-)
  • Twins with Amanda Houser
  • Dan's suprise birthday party
  • Went to prom with Matt
  • Graham and I got into a fight (arguement), then just recently resolved it
  • Amanda liked "cutie"
  • Confused Jillian
  • Movies with our little movie bunch (Me, Amanda, Dan, Cammie, Ornela, Doug)
  • Suffered with Ornela through French II
  • Went to the Cascades and Ornela and Dan fell!

Oh, and we can't forget about what Amanda and I did to Pauline on her birthday! ;-)

I really hope you are happy and with somone great!!!

Love ya,

Taylor"

Well, that was it. Haha. Let's see...Brandon was this guy I dated most of my freshman year and into part of my sophomore year. He was a jerk. I won't get into it, we'll be here all day. The whole double trouble thing with Amanda goes with being her twin too. At our high school they have spirit week the week of homecoming, and one of the days is to be someone else's twin. That year I was twins with Amanda. We made t-shirts. They said "double trouble" on the back, and on the front it said "2x the fun" and then we each had a number on the back of our shirt that when we stood together it said "20-02"...since it was the year 2002, if you couldn't figure that out. Hehe. It was great :-D Dating Josh was just...I don't know, it was right after Brandon, I suppose he was more of a rebound than anything else. Dan had a crush on me for a while, and I gave him a chance, and that didn't work out at all. It lasted less than a week, he's just more like my brother, so it was too weird. Sean...it didn't last too long, we didn't see eachother at all...and it was before he went all...like he is now. Amanda moved that summer to New Orleans. :-( I got good enough grades to get out of all of my final exams. I of course still had my braces. I didn't get them off until the beginning of my senior year. Ugh. I sat with Andy, Tony, Josh, and Larry in biology. They liked to tease me. *shrugs* Jillian came back to America! We befriended eachother. Haha. I met Megan Murphy too. She didn't stay in Blacksburg too long. Amanda and I threw Dan a suprise party. We got all this pink stuff, because we always teased him about hanging out with all girls all the time. Hahaha. Matt asked me to Prom, and I went with him. Not such the best time in the world. Graham had asked me out earlier in the year, and I said no, and then I started dating Josh. He was all, JOSH IS SHALLOW!!! And wrote me some pretty rude things, and I got mad, and we didn't speak to eachother until the end of the year. "Cutie" actually was my current boyfriend...aka...Kevin. Hehe. She had a crush on him (she might actually get mad at me for writting about this, but it was like YEARS ago). I don't know what I confused Jillian about. Haha. Um...the movie bunch thing, we just saw movies a lot. Haha. French II was actually probably my best year in french. But it still sucked. So glad that's over. And Dan and Ornela falling...haha, poor kids. We went there to take pictures of flowers for biology. They were okay though, I think there might have been a few scrapes and bruises. Then that whole birthday thing, Amanda and I filled Pauline's locker with that pink ribbon stuff and hid one of those candles that play "happy birthday" over and over so she couldn't find it to turn it off. Then we went to each of her class rooms and put a balloon and a happy birthday note at her desk. (well, we asked her teachers in her later classes to put it on her desk for us) It was pretty funny, because she hated acknowledgement of her birthday. Though I think she appreciated the thought. Too bad she likes to just throw away friends now.

Sorry if this was boring...but I'm bored. Kevin had been at work for like 6 hours now, and I have nothing else to do. Haha.

April Fool's Day

More commonly known as...April 1st. I have no jokes planned for today. When I was younger, I'd listen to Q99's (local Roanoke radio station) jokes. They were pretty good. Like, one year they said that they were going to stop calling girl scout cookies by that name, since it's politically incorrect, or something. Instead, they would call them "People cookies." They always get tons of calls for it. Haha...it's really rather great. A few years ago, my boyfriend (ex now) and I decided to play on a joke of one of my friends, Pauline (we are no longer speaking, but not because of the joke, but because she's judgmental and jumps to conclusions too quickly). She seemed to live for our relationship for some reason. So, we decided to break up...as a joke toward her. The day before, we were all in a chat room online, and Nic breaks up with me. I act all stunned and torn up. The next day (april fool's) Pauline finds me "crying" on Graham's shoulder. Then, unexpecting Pauline spots Nic up where we sit, confused she looks at him, and he's all "April Fools!" (I thought we'd drag it out longer, but I guess he just didn't like being broken up with me, hehe *shrugs*) She was pretty mad, but got over it. Haha. It was great. I guess you'd had to of known the situation to think it was funny. But it was. Trust me, Hehe.
